Orphanage in Yangon (Rangoon)

We have been in contact with Sunrise Home orphanage for several years in the suburbs of Yangon. About fifty orphans are welcomed there in an incredible human warmth that touched us very much. We were also convinced by Louise's desire to get these young people out of misery by offering them a high-quality educational project.

Pho Nyio School (Irrawaddy Delta area)

This primary school was built thanks to your donations in 2010, and since then we have supported the educational project. We also funded the construction of a house to house the teachers.
The democratization of Burma, although still timid and fragile, is bringing about changes in education policy. It is one of the many priorities, but the means are limited. In 2016 we were pleasantly surprised to see the arrival of 2 additional teachers paid by the government! So there are now 4 official teachers, for babysitters and primary (1st to 5th year).
In 2019, we funded the construction of a bridge over the river that runs along the village. This allows on the one hand to the pupils of the hamlet opposite to be able to go to the school and on the other hand to the young people of the village of age to go to the secondary school, to be able to go by bicycle in a neighboring village where there is a state secondary school..

Medical Dispensary (located in Mingun)

This dispensary, whose construction we have funded, has been in operation since 2015. A nurse cares for the poor, free of charge, that is to say the vast majority of the population ...
A small pharmacy is open in the dispensary, in order to provide free medicines to patients who cannot pay, and also to generate an income by selling to the less poor. It is run by Kay Kay, the nurse who runs the clinic, with the help of the monks from the monastery to whom we donated the building,

Health is also one of the government's many priorities. However, few of the poor currently know how to afford medical treatment.
